Hold On, I’m Coming Home is a photo project about the search for a lost parent, but is also a journey to finding a home. My father, Michel, left my mother and me in the Netherlands when I was just a few years old and first contacted me again when I was about 18 years old. In 2018 Michel invited me to California for Christmas. I went to visit him looking for answers and had a short but good introduction to my father, but I left with more questions than answers.
Now, three years later, I went back to see my father and discover more about him and our relationship.
